An Introduction to CBD

For the majority of people there’s still a lot of confusion when it comes to CBD and we completely get where that confusion comes from.

Research on the benefits of cannabidiol supplements is still pretty new but professional studies and user-generated data/reviews and testimonials  (first hand experience) are quickly beginning to show that there could be some significant medical applications across the board; from neurological and psychiatric disorders to eating and digestive disorders to pain and inflammation.

Hemp extract-based medicines have demonstrated safety, efficacy, and consistency sufficient for regulatory approval. Hence the Farm Bill passing in late-2018, and why some online CBD marketplace can ship to all 50 US states.

Still, many people are reluctant to try CBD due to its association with cannabis, but these fears are not warranted:

That’s because CBD is not psychoactive, and in most cases, CBD is actually derived from hemp (cannabis Sativa-L) rather than “cannabis”.

In this guide, we’re going to discuss what cannabidiol is and talk about the many wellness benefits that you can attain by adding this supplement to your daily health and wellness routine. Particularly those that are most beneficial to women’s health.

Is CBD the Same Thing as Cannabis?

That is a hard no! CBD is actually one of about 170 compounds found in the cannabis/hemp plant.

One of the other compounds is THC and this is  the one that causes the psychoactive effects that most people associate with cannabis… the feeling of being high.

However, when CBD is isolated (or married to other non-psychoactive compounds such as terpenes, CBN, CBG, CBC, etc.) it does not produce any psychoactive effects. Making it a safe treatment that can be used without any impairing side effects.

That is a BIG win for those of us looking to not get high yet still reap the rewards the plant has to offer. While full-spectrum products can contain trace amounts of THC, it’s not enough to actually make you feel high. That’s fantastic news for people who experience the negative side-effects of marijuana usage such as paranoia and anxiety because none of that will be an issue with CBD.

CBD also has another distinct benefit in that it can be derived from hemp which makes it legal in states where cannabis-based products would otherwise not be allowed, providing valuable relief for many different ailments to every single American. Every single one. Most people take CBD in oil form by using a medicine dropper but you can also purchase infused products like edibles and topical creams or even buy it online in the form of vape cartridges and high CBD strain pre-rolls.

The oil drop version tends to be the cheapest and most straightforward option if you want to go that route. Things like bioavailability and personal preference may take you another route. But we shall get into those points later on in this guide.

Americans are more stressed than ever, and those numbers seem to be pretty evenly reflected across the board, but did you know that women are impacted as much as 24% more than men?

Similarly, it seems that women are also more impacted by depression as well. While there are plenty of prescription drugs on the market to treat anxiety and depression, unfortunately, many people have found that these drugs come with devastating side effects, some so much so that they are forced to stop taking them.

Some new studies have also proved that these drugs are there to manage the ailment instead of cure it. Not good.

For anxiety and depression sufferers this is heartbreaking. Especially since these ailments can be so debilitating to everyday life. If you suffer from either of these conditions, then you already know how hard even small everyday tasks become with anxiety and depression constantly blocking your ability to have a normal life.

However, for millions of anxiety and depression sufferers, CBD is that shining light at the end of the tunnel. That’s because CBD actually works very similarly to traditional mental health drugs, which work by blocking the brain’s CB1 receptors.

With one key difference, CBD is much safer than traditional drugs (not to mention it is all natural) and it has even been used as an alternative to treat anxiety symptoms in children who suffer from PTSD.

For those who respond poorly to traditional anxiety and depression medications, CBD is a lifesaver, and anxiety treatment is one of the most popular uses for CBD products.

While PTSD is most commonly associated with traumatic events which happen in combat zones, there is another far larger contributor to this disorder: sexual abuse.

In fact, women are twice as likely to develop PTSD than men, and studies have shown that the symptoms of war veterans experiencing PTSD and sexual assault victims are incredibly similar.

Unfortunately, much like those who take prescription drugs for anxiety and depression, PTSD sufferers may also find the side effects of these drugs too much to bear. This can put people who are dealing with the pain of a great trauma in a difficult position.

Don’t take the drugs in order to not have the side effects? Or take the drugs and and live a life half-full? … or even a third-full.

That’s why many PTSD sufferers are turning to CBD to help them with their symptoms, which is perhaps even better than marijuana at treating their condition. High concentrations of THC can sometimes amplify anxiety or paranoia, which is obviously not a good thing if you are trapped inside the prison that is PTSD.

Instead, CBD gives all of the benefits and none of the potential downsides from THC that a PTSD sufferer may face. Plus, it’s easier to get CBD in states which are still not yet thrilled with marijuana reform, where medical marijuana would be much more difficult to acquire.

CBD interacts with CB1 receptors in the body to help reduce the effects of traumatic memories and to help victims of post-traumatic stress disorder to take back their lives.

If you or a loved one is struggling with PTSD, then CBD could prove to be invaluable for recovery.

Worth a try? That’s is totally up to you.

With America’s opioid crisis raging out of control, many people have realized that traditional pain medications may not be all they’re cracked up to be.

Americans are quickly finding that the negative side effects of these drugs were greatly downplayed by pharmaceutical companies, but for many of them, they’re left with no choice but to continue using these dangerous drugs.

Unfortunately, for the 50 million or so Americans that suffer from chronic pain, alternatives for relief seem hard to come by.

For women, this is particularly bad news, because they are much more likely than men to suffer from conditions which inherit chronic pain.

This includes many conditions that greatly impact women later in life, such as arthritis. Which affects them at a 3:1 ratio when compared to men and osteoporosis, which is four times more prevalent in women than in men.

The good news is that CBD is looking to provide a real alternative for chronic pain sufferers that is NON-addictive and comes without the harsh side effects of typical prescription drugs.

While many chronic pain sufferers have found relief in medical marijuana, many others have also found that non-psychoactive CBD products can also have a profound impact on daily pain and discomfort.

Inflammatory pain happens when the body senses that damage has been caused by chronic illness or injury. In short, your body wants to rid itself of what it sees as damaged cells.

Unfortunately, this is quite painful for our bodies, and people fighting off diseases such as cancer, often find that as a result of their treatment, they now have constant pain that refuses to subside.

The good news is that CBD helps to inhibit these inflammatory agents, significantly easing pain from cancer, arthritis, osteoporosis and other ailments with similar inflammatory pain triggers.

What makes women’s issues so confusing is that in most cases they are actually a collection of problems and not just one problem.

Menstrual discomfort, for example, can cause a maddening number of symptoms, including bloating, and the subsequent back pains that come with it, intense abdominal cramps, and hormonal issues that negatively impact your mood.

However, one of the worst issues faced by women during menstruation is Endometriosis, a horribly painful condition which turns everyday period pain into agony.

Many women who are unfortunate enough to have this condition end up missing work or other obligations because the pain is so severe.

Sadly, many of them also find their complaints are not taken seriously, and this leads many women to live in constant pain without relief. However, much like chronic pain, Endometriosis also seems to have inflammatory roots, and this makes it a prime candidate for CBD oil treatments.

In this Australian survey, women self-reported what helped them the most in battling their Endometriosis pain.

“Cannabis, heat, hemp/CBD oil, and dietary changes were the most highly rated in terms of self-reported effectiveness in pain reduction”

Cannabis and CBD products were top rated responses and for women suffering from flare-ups of Endometriosis pain a daily dose of CBD could help them to greatly improve their quality of life without the negative side effects of prescription drugs!

We’ve already talked about chronic pain and the opioid epidemic, but what about what happens when those people try to kick their opioid habit?

Perhaps due to the increased likelihood of them experiencing chronic pain, it seems women are very susceptible to becoming hooked on opioids.

900 people die from opioid overdoses every week in the United States, and experts believe that this number has not yet peaked. Though possibly even sadder is the fact that the chance of a relapse for an opioid user is higher than any other substance, with studies putting the potential rate for relapse as high as 91%.

Unfortunately, for many addicts, this is when their addiction is the most dangerous. With their tolerance level reduced, a recovering addict who experiences a relapse has a high risk of overdosing, not knowing that they can’t take as much as they did before.

Withdrawal symptoms can be excruciatingly difficult to overcome, but studies have shown that CBD can actually give relief to those suffering from them. That’s because many of these symptoms actually appear as anxiety-related symptoms.

In animal trials, rats were found to be less likely to have withdrawal based anxiety, and they were less likely to exhibit the drug-seeking behaviors of cocaine addiction after being given a CBD supplement. The results were significant when compared to the control group, who were given no supplemental substance.

Fibromyalgia is commonly associated with chronic pain, but there’s much more to this debilitating disease than that. Sufferers of this disease can also have problems with memory, experience fatigue, and full-body tenderness.

80 to 90% of people diagnosed with this disease are women, and like many women’s issues, Fibromyalgia isn’t really just one thing. It’s about a million horrible symptoms rolled into one, which makes it difficult for sufferers to find relief.

While there’s not really a known “cause” for this disease, some doctors believe that it results from a glitch in the brain that makes your pain signals go awry. This really leaves no cure or magic pill for Fibromyalgia, and medical professionals have only the option of prescribing lifestyle changes and medications to treat the symptoms instead.

Fortunately, CBD can be more effective at treating neuropathic pain than opioids, providing a safe alternative to Fibromyalgia sufferers to help them treat the many symptoms of this disease.

While it’s expected that you’ll experience hormonal imbalance during menopause, for many women, it happens much sooner than that. In fact, as much as 43% of women could be affected by hormonal imbalance at some point in their life.

When your hormones are out of whack, it can do a lot of weird things to your body. The symptoms are many, and they can include weight gain, acne, fatigue, irritability, depression, pain, irregular periods, fertility issues, and more.

Many women are actually prescribed birth control as a hormonal regulator rather than a contraceptive, but any hormonal treatment comes with its own host of issues. These side effects range from irritating things like weight gain or a decrease in libido, but also more dangerous ones, such as an increased risk of developing blood clots.

CBD’s ability to interact with the body’s natural cannabinoid system could actually provide a good solution to those suffering from hormonal imbalance, particularly for those who experience low Estrogen levels.

Digestive issues are no fun, and IBS disproportionately affects women. Those who suffer from IBS often have symptoms such as bloating, cramping, diarrhea, constipation, and abdominal pain.

While similar to IBD, which is an inflammatory disorder, IBS is slightly different. It doesn’t really have a “cause”, and that means that medications may be useless in treating it, unfortunately.

However, CBD is currently being researched as an alternative treatment for this disease. A recent study has shown promise that CBD can be effective at regulating bowel movements, and it may be used to create future anti-IBD drugs.

Of course, you can also use CBD to quell some of the symptoms of digestive issues, such as cramping, nausea, and bloating, but the more interesting take away here is that a study has found a link between IBS and Endocannabinoid deficiency.

Patients who were given CBD to regulate their Endocannabinoid system saw significant improvement and since another study found a link between the immune system and IBS, there’s a reasonable case that CBD could provide a viable treatment for IBS.

Alzheimer’s is a scary disease, and it seems to be growing at an alarming rate. It’s now the 6th leading cause of death in the United States, and women have a 1 in 6 chance of developing the disease.

Unfortunately, part of what makes Alzheimer’s so frightening is that there is no cure and not even any real treatment for it to stop the progression of the disease.

However, researchers have been looking to cannabinoids to find a cure, and in this study, they tested the effects of CBD on mice.

Our little friend – CBD – was shown to reduce and even remove cognitive impairment in some cases, providing some promising results for the future of neurodegenerative treatments.

While humans are, of course, different than rodents, researchers observed that test subjects were able to recognize familiar objects and structures where before they could not.

For women, osteoporosis is a huge deal, and that’s because they’re four times more likely to experience this disease than men. As we age, our bodies actually lose bone density, increasing the risk of fractures from seemingly mundane activities like mild falls, or even coughing too hard.

Clinical trials have shown that CBD could be effective in lowering TNFa levels, helping to prevent bone loss.

Plus, if you’re already suffering from Osteoporosis, CBD’s anti-inflammatory properties can help with any chronic pain that you may be experiencing from the disease.

Though if you believe you’re at serious risk of Osteoporosis, resistance training has also been proven to be helpful.

Over 22% of adults in the United States have been diagnosed with arthritis, with women having a slightly higher likelihood of developing it. This disorder is caused by inflammation in the joints, which causes pain and swelling for those that have it.

While there are several different types of arthritis, people who suffer from it will likely also notice a loss in their range of motion, which can have a devastating impact on their quality of life.

However, due to the type of pain, a good anti-inflammatory is often the best course of action when it comes to treating arthritic pain.

Unfortunately, many of the commonly prescribed drugs for this disorder have serious side effects, which can include stomach ulcers, cataracts, increased bone loss, and an increased risk of blood clots, heart attack, and stroke.

The good news is that CBD provides excellent anti-inflammatory properties, and it doesn’t have any of the negative side effects which are commonly associated with arthritis drugs. There has already been some preliminary testing for Cannabis-based Arthritis medications, and the results have been overwhelmingly positive.

Patients found that thanks to cannabinoids, they experienced much less pain, and an increase in the quality of their sleep, thanks to not being kept awake by arthritis pain. It has also been found that CBD can help to mitigate nerve damage, which is caused by the massive amount of inflammation which arthritis sufferers have.

Menopause is likely the most dramatic change that a woman’s body will go through in her lifetime, and it’s not exactly what you’d call a good time. This change often comes with a number of aggravating and painful symptoms such as insomnia, weight gain, anxiety, depression, and a reduction in bone mass.

If you’ve been reading along thus far, then you’ve likely noticed that CBD can actually assist you with a number of these issues, but it can also do something far more important for those on the verge of menopause than that.

Estrogen is actually linked to the body’s natural Endocannabinoid system. When Estrogen levels peak, the Endocannabinoid levels do as well.

However, as women age, and as Menopause begins to rear its ugly head, a woman’s Estrogen levels experience a sharp drop.

Many women use ERT to deal with this, bone loss being cited as a major reason, however, ERT comes with some serious consequences. This includes a much higher risk of stroke, breast cancer, blood clots, and even Alzheimer’s. These risks often significantly outweigh the benefits, and understandably, many women forgo this treatment.

However, CBD has proven to be effective at managing many of the negative aspects of menopause, and in a much safer way than ERT, and it could prove to be a viable replacement.

1 in 8 women develop invasive breast cancer in the US, and while CBD can’t cure cancer, it can do some amazing things to help relieve the onslaught of negative symptoms that come with cancer treatment.

This includes helping to manage inflammatory pain that many cancer patients live with everyday while they try to fight off the disease, and nausea which is often brought on by the chemotherapy drugs.

However, CBD also has some other astounding properties which are often overlooked. In addition to its many other benefits, studies have shown that it could potentially be effective in fighting the cancer cells themselves.

Studies have been done on the impact of CBD on cancer patients, and there is solid evidence that it can impact tumor growth. This includes decreasing the ability of new cancer cells to grow, and to even inhibit the growth of existing cancer cells.

These studies show immense promise in the field of cancer research, as this means that using CBD in addition to traditional cancer treatments could help to prevent the spread of the disease to other areas of the body.

While this is excellent news for those working towards becoming cancer free, for the unlucky few who have inoperable cancer, CBD could prove to be one of the only options available to them to help keep cancer growths from spreading further through the body.

In America, working hard is often worn as a badge of honor. Unfortunately, that often comes at the expense of our health. More and more of us are working longer hours and with more stress. This often spells disaster for our sleep schedules, and while you may not think that this is a big deal, it definitely is.

Losing even 30 minutes of sleep per day can have negative health consequences. However, when you have to juggle a full-time career and everything that goes with having a family and managing a home, it can be easy to let those precious minutes slip away.

For many, this is further complicated by stress, anxiety and chronic pain, which keeps the body from resting fully. If you’ve ever laid awake at night, needlessly worrying or being acutely focused on the dull ache in your lower back that hurts just enough to not let you fall asleep, then you’ll be all too familiar with this epidemic.

The good news is that CBD actually helps to alleviate many of these problem symptoms. A low to moderate dose can prove to be just what many people need to finally let go of the day’s problems and experience truly restful sleep.

While many people see Acne as one of the infuriating rights of passage of your teenage years for some people it simply doesn’t end there. Adult Acne is a very real thing, and it is incredibly annoying to still be dealing with it well past your teenage years.

Countless Acne medications flood the market but for some people relief is tough to find. Especially if your skin condition is brought on by a hormonal imbalance, which is a common cause of Acne.

The good news is that one of the many benefits of CBD has to do with skin health, and not only can its anti-inflammatory properties help to calm Acne flare-ups, but it can even have an anti- aging effect, making your skin look more radiant and youthful.

Plus, CBD allows you to dodge the less desirable effects of common Acne treatments, which can include dry and irritated skin, but also more serious ailments if you are taking hormonal treatment like birth control for your Acne.

While ADHD is mostly seen as something that impacts boys, in actualityADHD affects girls at much the same rate. However, the symptoms tend to be represented differently in girls, and so, many of them sadly go without treatment.

The most pronounced form of ADHD is the hyperactive form that keeps children from sitting still and keeps them from focusing on tasks. For boys, this often leads to punishment for impulses that they can’t control.
Women are often just as distracted as men who have ADHD, but their symptoms tend to be more internally focused. Since they don’t cause a disturbance, their issues are often ignored, leaving them to suffer in silence and fall behind in school or simply become overwhelmed by everyday life.

Though, even those who receive treatment for their ADHD are not always in the best state. ADHD drugs have some very controversial side effects, and children taking Ritalin may see their issues amplified thanks to increased anxiety and paranoia from these drugs.

Contrary to popular belief, ADHD does not end in adolescence, and about 40% of teens who suffer from ADHD carry it with them into adulthood. Though many do stop taking their medication due to the unbearable side effects.

It’s obvious that ADHD needs to be handled better, and if you or a loved one suffers from ADHD, then CBD may be a viable solution. Since it reduced anxiety, it can actually be very helpful for those who have trouble focusing and keeping on task.

Much like ADHD, Autism is often misunderstood in women. That’s because most of the clinical data comes from male patients, and women tend to present symptoms differently than their male counterparts. While it may appear that Autism is more common in men, many believe that it may actually be more common in women, but they simply go undiagnosed due to these differences.

Women with Autism tend to have more internally focused issues, rather than outward ones like men, which hides their symptoms. However, that often comes at a cost, and many women find out later in life that they are, in fact, Autistic, when the inevitable burnout caused by this “camouflaging” happens.

Women who are Autistic tend to be better at picking up on social cues thanks to mimicking, but they often face overwhelming anxiety, depression, and isolation. Most of them go untreated for many years, and they don’t get the support that they need early in life.

However, thanks to CBD, self-treatment may finally be an option for women with Autism. An Israeli study has seen a staggering improvement rate of 80% in children with Autism who were treated with CBD. While there’s still a lot of work to be done, this study is very promising for the many people who don’t seem to find relief from traditional Autism treatments.

Similarly to chronic pain, women also disproportionately suffer from autoimmune diseases. 80% of autoimmune disease sufferers are women and there is no cure. That leaves many women frustrated with their lack of treatment options and the collective shrug from doctors who can only prescribe them a medley of pills for their symptoms.

The immune system is responsible for recognizing what belongs to you and what doesn’t. Its job is to eject intruders from your body in an effort to protect it. Unfortunately, autoimmune diseases trick the body into attacking itself, which can cause a huge number of symptoms depending on what type of autoimmune disease you have.

Alopecia attacks the hair follicles, causing hair loss. Multiple Sclerosis attacks the protective coating around your nerves, damaging your spinal cord. Rheumatoid Arthritis attacks the lining of the joints, and the list goes on and on, giving autoimmune diseases the ability to destroy a staggering number of vital body systems.

In addition to being incredibly helpful in dealing with the chronic pain associated with many types of autoimmune diseases, CBD also slows down T-cell production, and it can also suppress the immune system’s memory, which could help to cut down on future autoimmune attacks on the body.

Epilepsy proves to be one of the most exciting use cases for CBD in the medical field because it’s already working. The FDA has already backed a drug that treats seizures in children, and it uses CBD extracts to do it.

Dravet’s Syndrome is a drug-resistant form of epilepsy that sometimes happens in children. For these children and their parents, CBD has quite literally become a lifesaver, because no other medications have any impact on Dravet’s syndrome at all.

However, researchers found that the number of seizures greatly decreased when children with Dravet’s Syndrome were given a Cannabidiol supplement. It was an exciting moment for families suffering from drug-resistant Epilepsy, and it was one of the first areas where CBD proved itself as a legitimate alternative treatment.

For those who have other forms of Epilepsy, CBD could still be a valuable solution though. That’s because Epilepsy drugs come with a good deal of debilitating side effects that CBD does not have.

Common side effects for Epilepsy drugs can include tremors, skin disorders, behavioral side effects and sometimes even more serious ailments depending on which drug is used for treatment.

While most people are familiar with Type 2 Diabetes, fewer people understand type 1 Diabetes. Despite similarities in name, the two disorders are completely different, and those who suffer from Type 1 did not get their disease from poor diet choices.

This one is also an autoimmune disorder, and it manifests itself by destroying cells in the pancreas. Eventually, this leads to long-term damage, and the body loses its ability to properly produce insulin.

In many cases, people inherit this disease from their genetics, though having a direct relative who has it doesn’t guarantee that you will, and 90% of people with Type 1 don’t have a relative who has it. There are also other circumstances where you may, unfortunately, develop it later in life.

While Type 2 Diabetics can often lessen their symptoms with changes in their diet, sometimes removing their need for Insulin entirely, this is sadly not the case for Type 1 sufferers and they will always have to take this medication.

However, while CBD has not been conclusively proven to be a valid alternative for Type 1 Diabetics, there is some promising research being done. In an animal study, CBD was shown to reduce the inflammatory response in the pancreas of test rodents.

Heart Disease has proven to be the leading cause of death in America for both men and women. You should, of course, still follow traditional advice on cardiovascular disease which includes staying active and sticking to a healthier die. But could you be doing more?

Research says that maybe you can, and CBD could be the key. This study showed an interesting link between the body’s Endocannabinoid system and the regulation of the cardiovascular system. Particularly in regards to hypertension, a disorder which puts the heart under undue stress.

CBD has also been shown to lower blood pressure, and it seems that CBD can offer even more benefits to protect us from heart disease. This includes an increased survival rate among heart attack survivors, reduced cell death and reduced cardiac arrhythmias.

So, should you abandon what you’re doing already to prevent heart disease? Of course not.

Should you add CBD to your regime to give you an even bigger chance of fighting off nasty ailments like stroke, blood clots, and heart failure?

Bacteria and disease are really man’s only predators. While it’s pretty easy for us to outsmart larger dangers, bacteria evolves at a frightening rate. Every day, bacteria continues to change itself to fight against the drugs we create to destroy them until they eventually become immune.

Over 2 million people pick up a drug-resistant bacterial infection in the United States every year, and at least 23,000 of them die. Researchers are, of course, scrambling every waking minute to find new ways to combat these superbugs before they get out of hand. CBD might be able to help.

Researchers have found that Cannabinoids have a devastating effect on bacterial infections, even particularly nasty ones like MRSA. What’s even better is that they found that non- psychoactive compounds like CBD were the most effective in combating these drug-resistant bacteria strains.

While there’s a lot more research to do here, it is possible that CBD could be our saving grace when it comes to fighting off the 60-70% of bacteria and bugs which are now drug-resistant, and very likely to soon become completely immune to certain drugs.

While THC can trigger psychotic episodes making it a poor treatment for Schizophrenia, CBD does not have the same effect. Studies indicate that CBD has shown promise in lessening psychosis in those with Schizophrenia.

While there are, of course, traditional drugs available for those who suffer from this disorder, many of them have a multitude of negative side effects. This, unfortunately, makes many people suffering from Schizophrenia reluctant to take these medications.

That’s why it’s so exciting that CBD could potentially be used as a natural alternative that would allow relief to these patients without the damaging side effects.

People who experience psychosis may have overactive dopamine receptors that produce too much or too little natural Cannabinoids. CBD can help to re-establish a proper balance in the brain, relieving their symptoms.

In a study, 42 patients with acute Schizophrenia were given CBD for four weeks, and it improved all of their symptoms, working just as well as stronger antipsychotic drugs but with the benefit of being much more tolerable to use than traditional drugs.

How Much CBD Should You Take?

One thing people can’t seem to agree on is just how much CBD you should take.

That’s because it’s honestly a little tricky to figure out and it greatly depends on the individual.

Some people may find that they only need a little bit of CBD to experience amazing results, but other people may take the same amount and feel nothing.

Before you give up on CBD, make sure that you experiment with your dosages while maintaining a clean diet and healthy exercise regimen.

Let’s be honest, nothing in this world will cure everything. You need to help your body by providing the optimal environment for it to heal and prosper.

If a person were to continue to eat junk food daily and/or not work out and/or have a couple drinks everyday, CBD will do very little for you. Just like any other health and wellness product: change starts with a balanced life!

When you purchase CBD it will come in different strengths. A lower strength bottle will have a much lower dosage per dropper.

For example, a 300mg 30mL bottle of CBD oil might provide 10mg of CBD per 1mL dose but the same product with 1,000mg fof CBD per bottle would mean that each dose of a similar size would have thrice the CBD in it: 30mg.

In short, if you want to experiment with CBD, then read the dosage information carefully before purchasing.

Here are some common dosages to help you execute on your goals.

CBD Dosage: Anxiety

Anxiety sufferers will typically go for a more modest dosage, just enough to take the edge off so that they can perform at a healthy, productive state.

A CBD dosage for anxiety mg is somewhere from 10 to 35mg is likely good for anxiety, but keep in mind that this is heavily dependent on the individual, and if you feel a bit groggy, then you may want to take less. A 200 pound male will need more than a 130 pound male, etc.

CBD Dosage: Insomnia

If you just need help relaxing and going to sleep, then somewhere in the range of 30-50mg will likely be enough to relax you and help you get more restful sleep.

However, people who suffer from insomnia might choose to take a much larger dosage – closer to 100mg.

This will depend heavily upon the individual, and you might need to do some experimenting to figure it out. Be warned that some people actually find that low doses actually make them feel more alert rather than sleepy.

You might also want to test and compare different administration methods: vape vs. oil drops vs. edibles to see which you react to better.

CBD Dosage: Chronic Pain

For those who suffer from chronic pain, such as from arthritis or back injuries, a larger dose of CBD may be required to get relief. Depending on the severity of their ailment, many people take anywhere from 100 to 150mg per day to find relief.

This, of course, depends upon your tolerance and you as an individual, and some people also recommend using a product which has a low, but more present mixture of THC to garner greater pain killing effects, but this may be impossible to acquire if you don’t live in a legal state.

In Conclusion

In closing, as you have just witnessed yourself CBD has a lot of benefits but it’s a bit of a personal journey to make use of those benefits. If you don’t see results right away, then do a little experimenting to find the proper dosage for you.

Any, if at all, side effects brought on by CBD are extremely mild, so there’s no harm in using trial and error to find the right dosage and products for you.
